The Last Day

I am always sad to see the year has scurried away so quickly. I plan to spend this day considering how I would spend the time or what would I say if...
...it was the last time I would talk to the ones I love...
...it was the last time I would see the ones I love...
...it was the last time I would write a blog...

I am making a commitment to keep that perspective in 2009 and make sure that the new year fly away before I have a chance to say what is in my heart.
I have so much to be thankful for and so much hope for the new year. I am filled with pride to see in my lifetime not just an African American President, but to see "America" electing a person with honesty, integrity AND the intellect to lead this nation. I will be praying with boldness for his success!
Still Here...been scared and battered. My hopes the wind done scattered. Snow has friz me, Sun has baked me, Looks like between 'em they done Tried to make me Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--But I don't care!I'm still here! --Langston Hughes

If You Blog It, They Will Come...

Starting a new blog is pretty lonely. But I guess every blogger has to face this blank slate at the beginning. I guess the key will be to prevail...be consistent...and not to try to "fix the race".

The good news is...I am making progress towards the opening of my Etsy Shop Breathof Art on January 1st. Make sure you check it out...I hope my "creations" make you smile.

Christmas Past...

Well, Christmas is over. I survived without my children (who live in other states with their own families and situations). I was happy to be able to talk to both of them on Christmas.

My Etsy shop will open on January 1st...I am so excited! Time to get busy to make sure my creations are ready to go!

Don't worry...I will take some time for reflection before 2008 is just a memory.
